From the conclusion
The search for hidden time begins with stone circles but reaches much further: to the cubit and the foot, the annual cycle, the slow movement of Earth’s axis and the dates recorded in history.
The value of the surviving notes also lies in how they ask questions. Not every path reaches a settled answer. It can still be made clear: from inputs to calculation, from calculation to conclusion, and, where evidence is missing, to a question.
The cover and the illustrations of Avebury and Stonehenge were generated using AI. The book includes sources and a bibliography.

What is this book about?
Could the proportions of ancient monuments preserve knowledge of cycles of time? That is the central question of Bogumiła Krysiak’s inquiry. The route leads from Gilgal Refaim (Rujm el-Hiri) in the Golan Heights, through Avebury, to Stonehenge.
The author compares the dimensions of stone circles with the length of the year, ancient units of measurement (the cubit, the foot), the precession of Earth’s axis and biblical chronology. The book honestly separates three things: whether the arithmetic is correct, whether the numbers describe the right quantities, and whether a relationship has historical support.
This is not a book of ready-made answers. It is a record of a patient search: from data, through calculation, to a conclusion — and, where evidence is missing, to a question.

Frequently asked questions
What is “In Search of Hidden Time” about?
It is Bogumiła Krysiak’s posthumous book asking whether the proportions of megalithic monuments — Gilgal Refaim, Avebury and Stonehenge — could encode knowledge of cycles of time: the length of the year, the precession of Earth’s axis and ancient measures, set against biblical chronology.
Can I read the book for free?
Yes. The full text is free on this site, chapter by chapter, in Polish and in English. You can also download the complete PDF file.
Are the book’s claims scientifically proven?
The book advances hypotheses and clearly marks their limits: it shows which calculations can be checked arithmetically and where a source or historical evidence is still missing. Every chapter refers to a numbered bibliography (24 items), including NASA, English Heritage, UNESCO and the British Museum.
Who was Bogumiła Krysiak?
Bogumiła Krysiak (born 13 October 1962 in Łódź, Poland) was interested in the Bible, history, archaeology, astronomy and ancient units of measurement. She published on the History of Metrology forum under the username “rodz.akitu”. She died before her book could be published; her daughter Noemi published it posthumously.
What is Gilgal Refaim?
Gilgal Refaim (Rujm el-Hiri) is a large megalithic structure of concentric stone circles in the Golan Heights, in the biblical land of Bashan, King Og’s country. This book’s route begins there: through Avebury to Stonehenge.
In which languages is the book available?
In two: Polish (“W poszukiwaniu ukrytego czasu”) and English (“In Search of Hidden Time”). Both editions are complete and free, online and as PDF.
